Cookie Policy
How Tagg uses cookies and similar technologies on the Tagg website and in the Tagg apps. Tagg uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics.

What these technologies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Websites and apps can also keep information on your device in local storage, session storage, caches and, in apps, the device’s secure storage. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.
Information stored on your device
On the website
Tagg keeps some information in your browser’s local and session storage: preferences such as your store region and cinema city, changes that have not finished saving, such as library edits, Quick Rate answers and diary drafts, and a cache of artwork so that pages load faster. This information stays on your device and is not sent to third parties. Some of it remains after you sign out until you clear your browser’s site data.
To count page views on the website, Tagg stores a random visitor identifier in local storage for 30 days and a visit identifier in session storage for 30 minutes. These are sent only to Tagg, with the page address and the website you came from, never with your account, and we do not record your IP address with them. Page views are kept for 30 days. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no page views are recorded.
In the app
The Tagg app keeps your sign-in session in your device’s secure storage, for that device only. It also stores your appearance and App Lock settings, recent searches for 30 days, your chosen cinema city, and caches of images. Caches belonging to your account are cleared when you sign out.
Third-party services
Some features load services from other companies, which may set their own cookies or read information from your device under their own policies:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks sign-up and sign-in for automated abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- YouTube powers trailers. Its player loads when you point at or press play, and uses privacy-enhanced mode where available. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Paddle runs the secure checkout on the website and uses cookies to process payments and prevent fraud. See Paddle’s privacy notice.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in and security cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the website. In the app, signing out removes your session from the device, and deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Because Tagg does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add cookies that are not needed to provide Tagg, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when the technologies we use change. Questions are welcome at support@tagg.lol. For more about how we handle personal information, see the Privacy Policy.
